Thanks to a particularly slow day at work, less than 24 hours after I began my crocheting career, I have finished my first toque. Though the boys have complained that it's 'girly' and refused to call the colours involved by their proper, wool-company given names*, I'm very proud of my achievement and plan to start my second hat this very eve. *Aubergine, merlot and ivory. Not, as they would have it, purple, pink and cream.
