In an act of contrition, here are some things I've enjoyed this month:
- Some lovely births - most memorably one of my girls who had a 10lb baby with no more fuss than it takes me to put the rubbish out
- Speaking at the Royal College of Midwives annual conference - all went very well and I felt very grown up in a skirt and heels playing with powerpoint
- Listening to The Coral's new single In the Morning, which always puts a smile on my face
- Discovering a very very smelly cheese called Epoisse: damn good
- Seeing my old college mate Martin Freeman become a bonafide star with Hitchhiker's and his own show on Radio 2, even if he did turn me down when I asked him out (many many years ago I hasten to add)
- Watching Derren Brown rub his face in glass, put a plastic bag over his head and stop his pulse, and completely cock up one of his tricks on stage at Woking
- Got a new phone as a free upgrade and free bluetooth headset, both rather natty I reckon
- Finally got my iPod sync'd with my laptop (oooh get me!) and updated all my playlists
- Sitting on Wandsworth Common with my friend Linda in the beautiful sunshine and remembering what Summer is all about
On a sadder note, my sister's dog Jack died a couple of days ago. He was no spring chicken but he was very cute and he will be sadly missed by the whole family.
Jack: RIP
